Founded in 1991 by author and speaker Gordon Wadsworth, Financial Aid Information Services has helped thousands of students find scholarships and grants and creative ways to avoid "the college trap."  Prior to spending two years in the Army, Wadsworth was a journalism major at the University of Iowa.  After his tenure as a writer and photographer during strategic military operations, he returned to college graduating from San Jose State University.

The College Trap is the author's third book on student financial aid, representing over 20 years of research. His writing reflects his own experience dealing with funding a college education as well as the experience of many who have called or contacted our organization.

Our Purpose Statement:

"To help students graduate from an institution of higher learning
without the entrapment of financial bondage."
